Carney: Switching to heat pumps could save $1,400 annually
Ottawa, October 9 (Hibya) - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said the new National Heat Pump Rebate Program will support more than 800,000 households in switching to energy-efficient systems and could provide average annual savings of $1,400 on electricity bills.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said switching from fuel-powered heating systems or electric baseboard heaters to heat pumps could reduce energy costs.
Carney said the new National Heat Pump Rebate Program would help more than 800,000 Canadian households make the transition. He added that switching to heat pumps could result in average annual savings of 1,400 Canadian dollars on electricity bills.
