Barrack: Iraq's future belongs to its people, not armed groups
Washington, November 8 (Hibya) – US Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack commented on Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani's stance against the influence of militia groups over state institutions.
US Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack stated that Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Zaidi had delivered a clear message that militia influence has no place in Iraqi institutions.
Barrack emphasized that Iraq's future belongs to the Iraqi people, not to armed groups operating outside the state, noting that this position represents sovereignty being put into practice.
