Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Central African Republic Foreign Minister Sylvie Baipo-Temon as part of the 81st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Bayramov said the meeting addressed concrete steps to develop relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly politics, economy, culture, education and science.

Bayramov stated that following the meeting, a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Central African Republic was signed, adding that the agreement created an official framework for developing bilateral relations and bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.
