Bermudez: We will not give up our efforts to protect the health of the Cuban people
Havana, June 4 (Hibya) - Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez attended the inauguration ceremony of the new Outpatient Care Unit established within the Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez stated that the center was designed to provide safety, professionalism, and warmth to its patients, emphasizing that investments in healthcare will continue despite the challenges facing the country.
Drawing attention to the embargo imposed on the country and the difficulties it has created, Bermúdez said: "Despite the intensification of the U.S. blockade and the enormous challenges imposed by the energy crisis, we will not abandon our efforts to protect the health of our people."
Referring to the service philosophy expressed by the Institute's Director, Dr. Luis Eduardo Martin Rodriguez, Bermúdez said: "As Director Dr. Luis Eduardo Martin Rodriguez says: It is not enough to provide quality treatment; you must treat with your heart, and in Oncology this is the case every day."
Bermúdez expressed his satisfaction with this new step in the healthcare sector by saying: "We are very proud of what we have achieved there."
