Biden: 100,000 tons of cargo pass through the Port of Baltimore daily
Washington, October 30 (Hibya) – U.S. President Joe Biden announced that 100,000 tons of cargo pass through the Port of Baltimore daily.
President Biden noted that some believed the shipping channel at the Port of Baltimore would remain closed for six months, but the Coast Guard, Navy, and Army Corps of Engineers cleared the channel in 78 days.
Biden stated that 8,000 port workers returned to work and that 100,000 tons of cargo pass through the port daily.
