Borrell: Violence must end and hostages must be released
Brussels, 18 October (Hibya) – European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell said that violence must end and hostages must be released.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Borrell stated that the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Movement, Yahya Sinwar, was responsible for the 7 October attack listed by the EU, and added:
"He was an obstacle to the urgently needed ceasefire and the unconditional release of all hostages. Violence must end, hostages must be released, and the suffering of the Palestinians must end."
