In his statement, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said: “Lithuania strongly condemns the abduction of more than 50 Ukrainian civilians, mostly elderly people, by Russian armed forces from the village of Hrabovske in the Sumy region.”

Budrys noted that they demand Russia immediately release them and ensure their safe return home, adding:

“Unlike Ukraine, Russia is not interested in a ceasefire or in a comprehensive, just and lasting peace. Russia is doing everything to obstruct international efforts to achieve such a peace that would end the aggressive war against Ukraine. The abduction of civilians from the village of Hrabovske is another sad example of this.”
