Budrys: The EU must continue increasing pressure on the Belarus regime
Vilnius, February 18 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that they welcome Ukraine’s decision to impose new sanctions on Lukashenko.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys said they welcome Ukraine’s decision to introduce new sanctions against Lukashenko.
Noting that Lukashenko has turned Belarus into a proxy of Russia, Budrys stated:
“He allowed the regime to let Russia use Belarusian territory to invade Ukraine. He paved the way for the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus. He joined Putin’s campaign to abduct and ideologically indoctrinate Ukrainian children. And now he is helping guide drones and missiles directed at Ukraine.”
Budrys also emphasized that the EU must continue to increase pressure on the Belarusian regime.
