Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys highlighted the importance of the struggle for freedom on the 37th anniversary of the Baltic Way.

Budrys noted that 37 years ago, around 2 million Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians joined hands along the Baltic Way and sent the world a message of freedom: “We will be free.”

Budrys said Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia broke away from the Soviet Union, regained their independence, rebuilt their democracies and took their place among Europe’s free nations. He noted that the three countries built strong, resilient and prosperous states by joining NATO and the European Union.

Describing the Baltic Way as a symbol of people’s refusal to give up their dignity, identity and freedom, Budrys said, “When free nations stand together, no tyrant can silence their voice or determine their future.”
