Bulgaria and Qatar discuss steps to strengthen tourism cooperation
Sofia, July 15 (Hibya) - Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Dr. Ilin Dimitrov and Qatar's Ambassador to Sofia, Fahad Al-Mushayri, discussed ways to enhance tourism cooperation between the two countries and increase the number of mutual tourists.
The meeting addressed organizing B2B meetings between Bulgarian and Qatari tour operators, inviting Qatari tour operators to tourism fairs in Bulgaria, and hosting social media content creators and travel vloggers in the country to promote Bulgaria.
The two sides also exchanged views on increasing cooperation between universities operating in the tourism sector and renewing the memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Qatar's Ambassador to Sofia, Fahad Al-Mushayri, stated that Bulgaria is an attractive destination for Qatari tourists and emphasized the importance of increasing tourism promotional materials in Arabic.
