Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov had taken office as prime minister 10 months and 25 days ago.

The debate in the plenary hall began in the absence of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and cabinet ministers.

The government collapsed under the pressure of thousands of protests in Sofia and across the country. According to Rosen Zhelyazkov, the will of the citizens also played a role in the decision.

The resignation was submitted minutes before lawmakers began the no-confidence vote procedure, in the form of a petition submitted by PP-DB and supported by APS and MECH, and was immediately entered into the records of the National Assembly.

The Bulgarian government led by Prime Minister Zhelyazkov resigned yesterday, citing “the loss of political support and the need to restore public confidence.”
