Canada's Foreign Minister Anand: Russia must end its aggression
Ottawa, July 30 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand condemned Russia's attacks against Ukraine, stating that Polish airspace had been violated. Anand said Canada stands in solidarity with Ukraine and Poland.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand issued a statement regarding Russia's latest attacks against Ukraine.
In a social media post, Anand said civilians had been killed in Russia's attacks and that Polish airspace had once again been violated.
Anand argued that Russia's continued attacks demonstrate a clear disregard for Ukraine's sovereignty and the security of NATO allies. She also asserted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has shown no willingness to end the war or achieve a just and lasting peace.
Emphasizing that Canada stands with Ukraine and Poland, Anand said she had contacted Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski to express Canada's solidarity.
Anand stated that Russia must end its aggression and be held accountable for the destruction and loss of life it has caused.
