Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney issued a written statement regarding Russia’s missile and unmanned aerial vehicle attacks targeting civilian and strategic sites across Ukraine.

Drawing attention to the scale of the attacks, Carney said, “Yesterday, Russia carried out one of the largest missile and unmanned aerial vehicle attacks against Ukraine in the past four years. Canada strongly condemns these indiscriminate attacks.”

Offering his condolences, Carney said, “I extend my deepest condolences to those injured and to those who lost their loved ones.”

Emphasizing Canada’s determination to act together with its allies, Carney stated, “Canada stands in solidarity with Ukraine as it defends itself against this unacceptable aggression, and together with our allies, we will continue to pressure Russia to end this conflict.”
