Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia deepens
Riyadh, February 17 (Hibya) – Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev met in Riyadh with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Faisal bin Farhan.
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the visit, Kosherbayev held talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The parties discussed strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation, and deepening cultural and humanitarian ties.
The talks emphasized that bilateral relations are developing on the basis of mutual respect and trust, and noted the need to strengthen the legal framework of agreements and support cooperation with concrete projects.
Regional and global issues were also on the agenda, with the importance of coordination within the framework of the UN, the OIC, CICA and OPEC+ highlighted. The parties agreed to continue close coordination on international matters.
Within the framework of the visit, Kosherbayev also held contacts in the fields of energy and investment, discussing with Saudi officials opportunities for cooperation in traditional and renewable energy projects as well as in the field of “green” transition.
At the end of the visit, intergovernmental agreements were signed on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments and on the establishment of a Coordination Council between the two countries.
