Costa: EU favors dialogue and cooperation with Latin America
Brussels, November 4 (Hibya) - European Council President António Costa said he was honored to attend the Ibero-American Summit in Madrid, Spain, emphasizing that the European Union would continue its relations with Latin America based on dialogue, cooperation and multilateralism.
European Council President António Costa commented on his engagements during the Ibero-American Summit held in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
In a post on his social media account, Costa said, "I am delighted to be in Madrid to meet with the great Ibero-American family."
Highlighting the special significance of his participation in the gathering marking the summit's 30th anniversary, Costa stated, "It is an honor for me to be the first President of the European Council to attend one of these summits."
Addressing the European Union's relations with Latin America, Costa said, "The European Union always stands with Latin America. We always stand for dialogue, cooperation and multilateralism."
