Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez received the US delegation and exchanged views on bilateral relations and the effects of existing embargoes.

During the meeting, expressing criticism of US energy policies, Bermudez said: “When I received US Congress members Pramila Jayapal and Jonathan L. Jackson, I condemned the criminal damage caused by the blockade, especially the consequences of the energy blockade announced by the current US administration and the threats of even more aggressive actions.”

Emphasizing his intention to reduce tensions between the two countries, Bermudez concluded: “I reiterated our government’s willingness to conduct a serious and responsible bilateral dialogue and to find solutions to existing differences.”
