Dar extends condolences to Norway
Islamabad, September 6 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar spoke with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and conveyed his condolences over the death of King Harald V.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide. Dar conveyed condolences over the death of Norway’s King Harald V on behalf of the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, the Chief of General Staff, himself and the people of Pakistan.
Dar extended Pakistan’s condolences to the Norwegian Royal Family and the people of Norway, and said the Prime Minister had assigned Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan to represent Pakistan at the funeral ceremony to be held in Oslo on September 9.
The two ministers agreed to remain in close contact and also exchanged views on the possibility of meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
