Dar: Rescued Iranian fishermen have been repatriated
Islamabad, June 22 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that eight Iranian fishermen rescued at sea had been safely returned to their home country.

Dar stated that the eight fishermen, who were rescued by a British vessel after their boat ran aground, departed from Karachi for Iran this morning. He noted that Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant authorities worked in close coordination with Iranian and British officials to ensure their safe transit and swift return.
In his statement, Dar said: “The eight Iranian fishermen rescued at sea have been successfully repatriated and departed from Karachi for Iran this morning.”
Highlighting Iran’s trust in Pakistan on this matter, Dar added: “We appreciate Iran’s confidence in Pakistan regarding its citizens and thank all stakeholders for their cooperation in making this safe return possible.”
