In his Children's Day message, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez stated, “We celebrate Cuban boys and girls on International Children's Day. We care for and respect them for what they are; a treasure.”

Referring to the words of Cuban thinker Jose Marti, Diaz-Canel recalled the expressions “Hope lives in them” and “They are those who know how to love,” noting that these words reflect nobility, sincerity, and a vision of the world that adults should emulate.

Highlighting the responsibility to protect children from global crises, Diaz-Canel said, “Our commitment and effort are to protect them from the barbarity the world is experiencing.”

Addressing sanctions in his message, Diaz-Canel stated, “The joy of every Cuban child is sacred, and despite the cruel blockade imposed by imperialism, we will continue to defend it.”
