Kos: Reforms are the foundation of Ukraine's future prosperity
Gdansk, June 25 (Hibya) – European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stressed the importance of reforms in Ukraine’s European Union accession process, highlighting the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stated at the opening of Cluster 1 of the Ukraine Recovery Conference that the European Union stands united in its commitment to bringing Ukraine into the European family.
Kos said that she reviewed the process together with Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski and Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka.
Emphasizing the reform process, Kos said, “At the Ukraine Recovery Conference, together with Radek Sikorski and Taras Kachka, we stressed that the best way to seize this moment of unity is to continue reforms, particularly when it comes to strengthening the rule of law and fighting corruption.”
Referring to the impact of reforms on the investment climate, Kos added, “These reforms send the strongest possible signal to businesses to invest in Ukraine’s reconstruction. They are the foundation of both EU membership and Ukraine’s future prosperity.”
