Al Thani attends GCC–US Joint Ministerial Meeting
Doha, June 25 (Hibya) – Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, discussed regional security and diplomatic developments during the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)–US Joint Ministerial Meeting held in Manama.
According to a statement issued by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani attended the GCC–US Joint Ministerial Meeting.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also participated in the meeting, which was held in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
The meeting addressed the latest regional developments affecting the security of GCC member states and the wider region. In particular, diplomatic efforts following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as initiatives aimed at strengthening security and stability, were among the key agenda items.
