Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

During the call, the recent understandings between the United States and Iran were welcomed, while the intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding scheduled to be signed on 19 June 2026 in Bürgenstock, Switzerland was also discussed.

The two ministers also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Regional Quad (R-4) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting planned for the end of this month.

Pakistan–Türkiye relations were also discussed, with both sides reiterating their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal ties between the two countries.

The parties agreed to remain in contact regarding regional developments and diplomatic processes.
