Dutch Prime Minister Schoof: We stand with the rights of the Iranian people
Amsterdam, January 12 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, commenting on the protests in Iran, called on the government to stop the violence and release detainees.
Dutch Prime Minister Schoof said in a statement on the protests in Iran that the Iranian regime is harshly suppressing demonstrations, resulting in the deaths of many people.
Describing protesters in Iranian cities as brave, Schoof said: “They are standing up to tyranny and making their voices heard for freedom.”
Schoof also conveyed the Netherlands’ demands to the Iranian government, calling for an end to violence, the release of those unjustly detained, and the restoration of internet access. “We stand with the rights of the Iranian people,” he said.
