Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

According to The Guardian, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen described the 25% tariff imposed by the US on global metal imports, which came into effect on Wednesday, as "unfair trade restrictions".

In her statement, von der Leyen announced that "strong but proportionate" countermeasures will take effect starting April 1. She stated, "Tariffs are taxes, they are bad for business, and even worse for consumers. They disrupt supply chains and bring uncertainty to the economy."

Among the retaliation measures, Brussels will reintroduce tariffs on US goods such as bourbon whiskey, jeans, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. These tariffs, originally introduced during Trump’s first term and later suspended following discussions with his successor Joe Biden, target goods worth 4.5 billion euros from traditionally Republican states and will be reinstated on April 1.

Additionally, the Commission is planning further retaliation measures worth 18 billion euros, targeting a wide range of products including steel, aluminum, poultry, beef, seafood, and nuts.

The EU announced that the total value of these measures will amount to 26 billion euros, but officials indicated that the final amount will likely be around 22.5 billion euros, as some products may be excluded after consultations with businesses and member states.
