European Council President Costa: We are stronger together
Brussels, July 1 (Hibya) - European Council President António Costa issued a statement on the occasion of Ireland's 2026 Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
European Council President António Costa said that the Irish phrase "ní neart go cur le chéile" serves as a reminder of the importance of working together.
Costa stated that together with Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, they are working to build a more prosperous and more secure European Union.
In his statement, Costa stressed that protecting and strengthening shared values on behalf of European citizens is a fundamental priority, highlighting the importance of solidarity within the Union.
