Italy to support Ukraine's cybersecurity under the Tallinn Mechanism
Kyiv, July 1 (Hibya) - Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, as of July 1, Italy has assumed the leadership of the Tallinn Mechanism and pledged to increase its support for strengthening Ukraine's cybersecurity capabilities.

Italy also announced that it aims to contribute up to €2 million to Ukraine's cybersecurity efforts throughout 2026.
The program's priorities include strengthening the cybersecurity of public institutions at the national and regional levels, protecting critical infrastructure, enhancing cyber resilience activities, and training cybersecurity professionals.
Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Droniuk welcomed Italy's new role, emphasizing that the Tallinn Mechanism is delivering tangible results through international cooperation.
Droniuk also thanked the United Kingdom for its contributions during its previous leadership and stressed that cooperation in cybersecurity is of critical importance for Europe's overall security.
