Ankara, July 8 (Hibya) - Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden stressed the need to strengthen transatlantic security and for European allies to assume greater responsibility for defense during the NATO Leaders' Summit held in Ankara.

Outlining Luxembourg's vision and defense policies during the summit in Ankara, Frieden said, "Last year, we laid the foundation with an ambitious defense investment plan. We are now turning our financial commitments into the real military capabilities and forces needed to ensure the security of our citizens and safeguard peace."
Highlighting the importance of financial and technological foundations for strengthening the Alliance's deterrence capabilities, Frieden stated, "Luxembourg has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to NATO, our collective defense, and the principle of strength through unity. Credible deterrence requires innovation, industry, space and cyber capabilities, as well as reliable financing."
