Ghebreyesus: Attacks on health workers in Pakistan are concerning
Geneva, October 29 (Hibya) - WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that attacks on polio health workers in Pakistan are extremely concerning.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus expressed deep concern about the attacks on health workers in Pakistan, saying, “Each attack delays our ability to reach every child with polio vaccines and hinders global efforts to eradicate polio completely.”
Ghebreyesus emphasized the call for the protection of health workers everywhere, stating that they should not be targets of attacks.
