Ghebreyesus: Health system in Gaza struggling to cope
Geneva, March 29 (Hibya) - Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), reported that the health system in Gaza is struggling to cope, with only 10 out of 36 hospitals partially functioning.
Ghebreyesus reported on March 26 that Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis, operated by the Palestinian Red Crescent, has ceased operations due to ongoing conflicts in and around the facility.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated, "Once again, we demand an immediate halt to attacks on hospitals in Gaza and protection for healthcare workers, patients, and civilians."
