Ghebreyesus: No one should be harmed while seeking care
Geneva, April 4 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasized that no one should be harmed while seeking care.
Ghebreyesus stated, "Still, unsafe care globally affects about 1 in every 10 patients."
He stressed that patient safety must be a non-negotiable priority in all health systems, at all levels of care, in all communities, and across all income levels. "I thank the Philippines for their leadership in organizing the Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety," he added.
