Lahbib: Human action, solidarity, and urgency are key
Brussels, April 4 (Hibya) – European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib emphasized that humanitarian action, solidarity, and urgency are the key elements.
Commissioner Lahbib underlined that humanitarian action is built on solidarity and urgency, and these are essential in crisis response.
Referring to support for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the region, she highlighted that the previously pledged 60 million euros will be supplemented by an additional 40 million euros today. "At today’s Ministerial Roundtable with Amma A. Twum-Amoah and UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Joyce Msuya, we reiterated the EU’s strong commitment," she said.
