Ghebreyesus: Ugandan government declares Sudan Ebola virus outbreak
Geneva, January 30 (Hibya) - World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that the Ugandan government has declared a Sudan Ebola virus outbreak.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus stated that the Ugandan government has declared a Sudan Ebola virus outbreak, saying: "Unfortunately, a 32-year-old nurse has passed away. The government and partners are launching a full-scale response."
He emphasized that WHO is supporting the government through its country offices and emergency program, adding: "We have initially allocated $1 million from the Emergency Response Fund for crisis response."
