During his meetings with Mexican Foreign Minister Alicia Bárcena Ibarra (de la Fuente) and federal officials, Grandi expressed gratitude for the country’s commitment to refugee protection and social integration.

“Mexico providing both a safe haven and an opportunity to build a new life for people fleeing persecution is a strong example of regional solidarity,” said Grandi, emphasizing that this approach also sets an example for the international community.
