Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the permit process required for marine surveys and cable-laying operations under the Great Sea Interconnector (GSI) project between Greece and the Republic of Cyprus had been completed.

According to the ministry's statement dated November 6, 2026, the relevant Greek authorities finalized the licensing procedures following an application submitted by the French company NEXANS on behalf of the GSI project owner.

Following a favorable opinion from the competent Interministerial Commission for Marine Research Permits, the Greek Foreign Minister signed the decision authorizing the necessary survey and cable-laying operations on November 6.

The statement noted that the survey vessel had requested the necessary navigational warning for mariners (NAVTEX) to carry out the operations and that the notice was issued immediately.
