New York, June 23 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres drew attention to the energy crisis, stating that the conflicts in the Middle East have caused serious economic and humanitarian consequences on a global scale.

Guterres emphasized that for many developing countries, the current situation is not only an energy crisis but also a severe shock affecting debt, food, and development.
Noting that a possible peace agreement would provide significant relief, Guterres said: “Any peace agreement will provide much-needed relief, but its effects are likely to be long-lasting.”
