Harris: There is a chance to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza
Dublin, September 30 (Hibya) – Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Simon Harris said he supports initiatives to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stating: “There is now a chance for the guns to fall silent, for hostages to be released, and for humanitarian aid to reach Gaza.”
Ireland’s Foreign Minister Harris made a statement regarding the humanitarian disaster in Gaza. He emphasized that he welcomed all international efforts aimed at ending the massacre and destruction in the region.
“There is now a chance for the guns to fall silent, for hostages to be released, and for vital humanitarian aid to reach Gaza,” Harris said, recalling the importance of a two-state solution in the peace process.
The minister noted that the war has caused unacceptable loss of life and suffering, and therefore the international community must take greater responsibility in achieving lasting peace. Harris welcomed the support of Arab and Islamic countries for the plan and stressed that Hamas must take a constructive approach to this proposal.
Harris called on all parties to use their influence to work towards securing a genuine and lasting peace in Gaza.
