IDF: Company commander in Hamas' Khan Younis Brigade killed
Tel Aviv, August 14 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Hudhaifa Khalid Suleiman Kuwara, who was said to be a company commander in the Khan Younis Brigade of Hamas' military wing, was killed in an airstrike in the Khan Younis area in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the IDF alleged that during the war Kuwara was responsible for training militants in his company, transferring weapons to the southern Gaza Strip and supporting Hamas' efforts to rebuild its organizational structure.
The statement said that Kuwara, who was alleged to have recently promoted plans for attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, posed a threat to IDF forces and was eliminated in an airstrike.
The statement added that IDF forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the existing agreement and will continue their operations aimed at eliminating immediate threats.
