Stating that the decision was made after a technical and professional review process, the IDF said: “Following yesterday’s hearing at the Supreme Court and the directives received, the Home Front Command team professionally and comprehensively examined the issue of banning mass events at various locations across the country.”

The statement emphasized that the inspections were carried out by internal security personnel and certified defense engineers: “In line with the recommendations of professional bodies, it was decided to ban gatherings of up to 150 people at Habima Square in Tel Aviv.”

Regarding the legal coordination of the process, the IDF stated:

“Contrary to the claims, this position is being carried out in coordination with the Military Prosecutor’s Office. The task in question has been transferred to the High Court of Justice by the Military Prosecutor in order to be implemented through standard channels.”
