IDF: Two hostages handed over to the Red Cross
Jerusalem, February 22 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that according to information provided by the Red Cross, two hostages have been handed over to the organization.
The IDF stated that according to the information received from the Red Cross, two hostages have been handed over.
The statement read: "The IDF and Shin Bet forces are heading towards the Gaza Strip. The IDF is ready to receive additional hostages who will later be transferred to the Red Cross."
The IDF statement further noted:
"The two abducted individuals are currently being transported to Israel by an elite IDF unit and Shin Bet security forces, where they will undergo an initial medical evaluation. The IDF commanders and soldiers welcome the returnees. The IDF spokesperson called on the public to show responsibility and respect the privacy of the returnees. The IDF is ready to receive additional hostages who will later be transferred to the Red Cross."
