Iraqi President Nizar Mohammed Saeed Al-Amidi received Defense Minister Nayif Al-Shammari.

According to a statement from the Iraqi Presidency, the meeting addressed the development of the armed forces' military capabilities and the reinforcement of the principles of discipline and competence.

It was emphasized that plans to develop the military institution should be prepared based on an accurate analysis of existing challenges, while taking into account developments in military working methods.

The importance of enhancing the armed forces' capacity to carry out their duties effectively was also highlighted.
