Israeli army strikes Hamas infrastructure in Gaza
Jerusalem, September 7 (Hibya) - The Israeli army said a Hamas charge exploded in the Yellow Line area in the northern Gaza Strip and that no Israeli troops were killed or injured in the incident. The army said it targeted Hamas infrastructure following the incident.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that an attack had been carried out against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the IDF said an Israeli military engineering vehicle struck a charge yesterday in the Yellow Line area in the northern Gaza Strip that it said belonged to Hamas, causing it to explode. No Israeli personnel were harmed in the incident, the statement said.
The Israeli army described the incident as a "serious violation" of the ceasefire agreement by Hamas. The statement said that, in response, infrastructure facilities that the army said were used by Hamas to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and Israeli military forces were targeted overnight.
The IDF said forces under the Southern Command continue to be deployed in the area under the ceasefire agreement and will continue their activities in order to "eliminate immediate threats".
