According to a statement made by Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rob Jetten, the Prime Minister visited the headquarters of the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) in Amsterdam to examine social security and employment processes. Within the scope of the visit, the daily wage calculation procedures for Work and Income Support (WIA) and the advisory services conducted by the Case Management Team were reviewed on site.
During the meeting, the processes encountered by individuals receiving income support and the practices of the agency's staff were evaluated. It was determined that the complex structure of the current social security system causes various complications for both beneficiaries and employees.

Prime Minister Jetten stated: "A social safety net must protect people, not trap them. That is why we are simplifying the allowance and support/assistance system."
