Canadian Foreign Minister Joly made a statement on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8.
Emphasizing that today and every day she supports women and girls in Canada and around the world, Joly stated: "When women take a seat at the table, societies grow stronger, economies thrive, and the world moves forward. I will continue to amplify their voices, defend our rights, freedoms, education, and opportunities, and work towards a world where gender equality is not just an ideal but also a norm."
