Albanese: Disaster relief center is here to help cyclone-affected people
Sydney, March 9 (Hibya) – Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that the Disaster Relief Australia center in Hendra is operating to assist the community affected by Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Australian Prime Minister Albanese stated that the Disaster Relief Australia center in Hendra is working to assist the community affected by Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
He noted that the organization is run by retired personnel and has 5,000 volunteers nationwide, adding: "They are here to help the community from preparation to recovery after the disaster of Tropical Cyclone Alfred."
Albanese also announced that the intensity of Tropical Cyclone Alfred has been downgraded and 280 schools in Australia have been closed.
