Kallas meets with Egyptian President el-Sisi
Brussels, January 10 (Hibya) – The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, held a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Kallas expressed her satisfaction at meeting once again with President el-Sisi in Cairo following the success of the first EU–Egypt Summit held in October.
Stating that Egypt, with its important role in regional security and stability, continues to be a strategic partner for the EU, Kallas said: “Our partnership is delivering tangible results: the next tranche of the EU’s €1 billion macro-financial assistance, aimed at strengthening Egypt’s economy and reform agenda, is on its way.”
Kallas noted that together they have taken cooperation to the next level.
