EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos met with UK Minister for Europe Stephen Doughty as part of her official contacts in London.

Highlighting the shared stance of the EU and the UK on Ukraine, Kos said, “The EU and the UK share the same determination to end Russia’s illegal war of aggression in Ukraine, support Ukraine’s path toward the EU, and prepare for Ukraine’s reconstruction.”

Emphasizing the importance of the financial support provided by the UK, Kos stated, “I thanked the UK for its budget support and cooperation under the Ukraine Facility.”

Emphasizing the agreement on regional security and combating disinformation, Kos concluded her statement by saying, “We agreed to strengthen our joint efforts against foreign information manipulation and hybrid threats in our candidate countries.”
