Kos: We have much to gain from closer cooperation with Türkiye
Ankara, June 30 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos emphasized that closer cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Türkiye could provide greater predictability and advance regional stability.
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos made remarks regarding her high-level meetings in Ankara, trade and investment partnerships, and strategic areas of cooperation between the two sides.
Referring to her meetings in Ankara and the targeted areas of partnership, Kos said: "We have much to gain from closer cooperation with Türkiye. I was pleased to meet President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara today."
Kos also stated: "I also met with High Representative Kaja Kallas and Commissioner Magnus Brunner. We want to increase trade and investment and strengthen the transport, energy, and digital connections linking Europe and Asia."
Emphasizing the importance of this partnership in the current global environment, Kos said: "At a time of increasing turbulence, closer cooperation between the EU and Türkiye can provide greater predictability and advance regional stability."
