Kos: Western Balkans can build a shared future
Brussels, September 25 (Hibya) – European Commissioner Marta Kos, commenting on the visit of member state ambassadors to the Srebrenica Memorial Center, commemorated the Mothers of Srebrenica.
European Commissioner Marta Kos said that ambassadors of member states attended the commemoration held at the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
Kos said that despite their immense losses, the Mothers of Srebrenica are among the strongest voices for reconciliation based on truth, justice and remembrance. Noting that the European Union was also founded on the belief that former enemies can build a shared future after the gravest crimes, Kos said the Western Balkans deserve such a future and that their peoples can build it.
