Kosherbayev meets with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Landau
Washington, 5 February (Hibya) – Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev held a meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Kosherbayev met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau as part of his visit to Washington.
During the talks, the sides exchanged views on current issues on the bilateral agenda, including political and economic engagement, the development of trade and investment, cooperation in the fields of energy and critical minerals, as well as regional and global security matters.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States.
In particular, attention was drawn to the U.S. initiative to establish a Peace Council and Kazakhstan’s participation in this format as a founding country. Preparations for Kazakhstan’s participation in the G20 summit to be held in Miami in December 2026 were also discussed.
