Brussels, July 30 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib provided information on the ongoing wildfires in Gironde, France, and the response efforts.
European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that Sophie Brocas, Prefect of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Gironde, is on the ground together with local authorities and residents.
Referring to the response efforts and European solidarity, Lahbib said, "In the face of disasters, Europe will always stand by your side—today and tomorrow."
